Check the size before you do this mate as the DL figures may well be 32mm and not 28mm. I've just double-checked Spartan's website.. they are quoting DL as being 28mm scale...... I'll see what the other reviews have to say.... just to be sure! "Trust but verify!" (Gil Grissom. C.S.I.) ;D

Another game that for us has died before it started, but as I havent seen too much love from Spartan themselves on this system then its not too suprising. Add into the mix the fact that their models for the Prussian Infantry at least are very oddly cast then it wasnt really going to fly with us. Also couldnt really see why they started it as a small scale skirmish system to go alongside DW and then start producing loads of tanks etc, sounds like Bolt Action to me...LOL

I still love the fluff that goes with this game.... and the miniatures are well thought-out. I haven't noticed any mis-casting on any of my British or FSA figures but what did surprise me was the size of them!! One of the 'heroes' stands 35mm tall..... making them pretty well useless for mixing with 'standard' 28mm stuff. This is SUCH a shame as there are a few alternative-history games that these would be ideal for. I'll be hanging on to mine, I'm sure they will see some action at some stage.......
