Ok so a good place to post up anything going on about the building of the Carnevale board I mentioned yesterday. And which appears to be running at full speed.

Work is going well... board bought and cut, I used 25mm Thermaboard, the foil-covered kind. Easy to cut with a firm straight-edge! I sourced a stone-effect paper sheet which I scanned into Photoshop Elements and tweaked the colour until it looked like old sandstone. 10 copies were printed, with careful cutting and lots of PVA , the first board section is covered. when that's dry I will add the textured-stone sections to the sides plus corner pieces. Apart from (hopefully) looking good, these will help protect the board! The whole thing will be sprayed with a couple of coats of clear acrylic and finished with matt varnish.

Good job so far there Martin. From a throw away comment by myself after seeing that awesome table we are on the move towards having our own awesome table.
