Good man Steve! I have followed a few games and it's great fun if you don't take it too seriously! My KoB fleet is coming together nicely, ready to take you on! I'll be getting some more durable gaming templates for this.... when I can find a nice set!

So.... Steve and I took to the high seas for our first encounter last night! Didn't take long to pick up the basic mechanics of the system. The fleets looked good on the table and we look forward to expanding them and adding flyers to the 'mix'! It was great fun and made us want to play more of it!

Yep as Martin said a great game with very good mechanics, and Martin is too good at rolling 6's. Dont think this would lend itself esily to a 3 player game but two sides with multiple players might work.

Ok Admiral Lee be afraid, be very afraid as reinforcements arrived from La France last night in the shape of a dreadnought and to paraphrase Pale Rider "and hell followed after".

Just remember to keep things fair, you should only really use Dreadnaughts if you both have one. Dreadnaughts are nearly invincible against anything other than a tech 2 battleship in Firestorm, or another Dready in Uncharted Seas/Dystopian Wars. With the points system you can play anything against anything of course, but Dreads really can unbalance the game if not accounted for like for like. A 250-300 point Dread is not the equivalent to 250-300 points of Frigates .

Yes.... I've been told that Dreadnoughts are a 'game-breaker' unless both sides have one..... Mine is on the slipway waiting for it's turrets to be fitted..... great model, lovin' it!

Indeed, they're pretty much perfectly balanced against another Dread though. Seeing as you both have one it should be a good game. Post some pics of the fleet engagement chaps!

Had another game last night.... we used the scenery from Dreadfleet to make things more interesting! It'll look even better when I paint it and get a playmat! Then we'll get some pictures up!

Is the Dreadfleet scenery a decent scale compared to the Spartan stuff? I've seen the scenery on Ebay a few times, might grab it if it works well.
