Ok so this game keeps making a lot of appearances so thought I would have a look. I like what I see so far, nice models, interesting rules and skirmish level in a Sci-fi setting that has bugger all to do with the emperor or 40k.
Not looking to start this one anytime soon, unless I get some cash, but if I do start it then I want to collect the Ariadna force as I like the troop selection, especially the French forces.

I have the Yu-Jing starter set plus some extra solos. It's a good game that isn't played much at the Bunker, can be a bugger to remember the rules properly though due to how much it is unlike any other wargame I've played.
Plays pretty quickly, but can be expensive if you want to have most of your factions choices. £25 roughly for a 6man starter box set is also somewhat expensive on a per figure basis, but they're generally regarded as some of the best detailed models you can buy anywhere.

Yes I saw the models they are fantastic and the QSR seem to read quite well. Looks like another game that you will get some opponents for Chris

Will be nice mate, I originally got these for a bunker campaign over a year ago. Typically, that became a Blood Bowl and Warmachine campaign. Edit: Don't forget you need plenty of D20's for this!

Yep D20's FTW. Gonna look at this after Christmas mate as I want a sic-fi skirmish game and I reckon this one fits the bill nicely.
For you other JAG gamers, this does not mean you have to play this if you don't want to, I am interested in it thats all.

I'm just glad it's not something I have to 'start', as I already jumped the gun

I skimmed through the ranges of miniatures to see if anything 'spoke' to me....... Most attractive to ME were the forces of PanOceania, lots of Knightly Orders etc.... closely followed by the Aleph faction, very Sci-Fi/Anime! I will have a closer look at this at TTN 2 moz, see it all in action!

Wow wow wow and wow. Loved this game today. Played really well and was easy to pick up. Will write up a proper review later but will say that this game requires you to concentrate at all times cos if you don't then you will miss opportunities and there is no "oh I missed that can I just do that now" as the mechanics don't allow for it. Fast and brutal.

Oh YEESSS! I echo Steve's comments! Beautiful miniatures, well thought-out background... a great slice of a believeable future history! A lot of Manga influence in some of the designs, this will appeal to a lot of peeps on many levels! Already has a great following in the gaming community and is well-supported in many media areas! Can be played on many types of terrain... I particularly liked the 'post-apocalyptic', decayed look of the TTN-created scenery! Dense, sight-blocking terrain is defo the way that this game plays best!

OK so Martin and myself went along to TTN today and grabbed a starter game of Infinity, it was superb.
We both played as Ariadna starter sets so both had a Lieutenant with HMG, a T2 , 3 rifles and one SAS with Chain Gun.
Turn one started with Martin taking the initiative and moved all his troops into cover, I them activated and brought my SAS trooper round the side of the building and attacked his Lieut and a rifleman, killing the Leiut but getting taken out myself. The next three turns were taken up with some intense move and fire routines through the heavy cover until I was lucky enough to make a final shot that reduced Martins crew down by 65% even though I only had 2 models left myself, and he lost the game at that point.
The game mechanic is that you get an order for each figure on your side and you get to choose to use one on each figure or spread them as you wish over your force, even giving them all to one figure if you so wished. Figures can do short or long moves, 2 short or 1 long per order. These include move, fire, climb etc. If a figure does anything that an opposing figure can see then they get to make an ARO, a reaction, which can be shoot, move, dodge etc. Everything is resolved with D20's and apart from armour rolls all have to be rolled below a threshold to be successful.
Anyway without going into too much depth this is a fantastic mechanism for a game and Martin already has the rules and is going Pan-Oceania and I am definitely taking Ariadna.
As I said before I wouldnt advise taking this game on if you arent one to concentrate on a game as if you miss an opportunity its tough luck and also measuring has to be very precise as it can mean the difference between life and death, so no rough measuring and NO pre-measuring.

If anyone want's a gander at the book I have one of the original hardback prints. It's an excellent little game, love my Yu Jing models, even if they're nowhere near being finished painted! Some of the smaller bits can be a sod to put together though, they're very delicate little models. Might even expand my Japanese Sectarian force when you lads get started. I'd recommend learning with the starter box sets though at first. Then advance it at a 5-2-1 rate is the standard force list. This means; 5 Troopers. 2 Specialists. 1 TAG. Troopers are anyone armed with a rifle/chaingun/boarding shotgun. There to give you activation tokens and some extra firepower. Specialists are things like: Hackers, Snipers, Stealth Suits. Rocket Launcher troopers, Medics and Heavy MG teams. There to eliminate specific threats or to complete scenario objectives. These also include things like Japanese motorcycle troops. TAGs are heavy weapon suits, there to lay down massive amounts of firepower. They're also expensive in points and you need to build a force around your TAGs weakness. Also go here infinitythegame.com/dt_army/ for the army list builder.

Nice one Chris good heads up mate. 5-2-1 ain't gonna work so much for Ariadna as they don't have TAGs or mech stuff. I will be basing my force around the French team and then have the others for later.

OK so Santa was kind and I got the Rulebook, the Ariadna starter box plus some extra minis. The minis rock, talk about fantastic details and no cleaning up needed. Really enjoying painting these and cant wait to get them on the table. I shall post up a few pics when I have the force assembled.
